Dear Mr. _____, 

        I am with Haven Acres Horse Ranch, located in Hampton Minnesota. We are a horse ranch that offers counseling and animal therapy to at-risk youth. At the moment there are 520,000 youth in Minnesota that would be considered at-risk and benefit from low to no cost therapy, such as Haven Acres. We are seeking a $2,000 grant to cover the feed costs for our animals during this outbreak of COVID-19.

        Haven Acres hosts 40 mentors and 200 mentees annually. While the mentors and students are at Haven Acres they are given daily chores and horse riding time. With the outbreak of COVID-19 we are unable to have volunteers out to take care of the animals. Your grant would allow the owners of Haven Acres to feed and care for 23 horses, 15 chickens, and 6 goats full-time during the stay-at-home order that Minnesota is now enforcing.

        This money would help keep the animals fed and healthy for the next season of riding. This is necessary so that we may continue teaching the youth the responsibility one must have when it comes to caring for another living being, which in turn raises up responsible young adults. We would love to host you once we no-longer must be conscious of social-distancing.
